She overcame her handicap and became an artist and a photographer.
She became an artist and photographer by the use of her mouth and feet.
Alison Lapper has visited Korea a few years ago.
She said at that time,
"I hope to give dreams and hopes to the Korean disabled people."
She overcame her handicap like Helen Keller who couldn't listen, see, and talk, and have helped other disalbed people.
She married when she was 22 years old, but due to serious beatings by her husband, she got a divorce after 9 months in torture.
She has a son, named Parys, who is six.
She gave birth to a baby even though her friends advised her not to.
She said that she changed Parys' diapers by using her mouth.
People say that if an average mother has a kid, she is short of even ten hands.
However, look how much Allision Lapper has accomplished in raising her son.
She loves her son very much and thinks of him as very speacial.
I think she is a great artist and also a great mother.
People assume that if someone is handicap, he or she is not capable of doing anything.
Also, people see how much the disabled has overcome and just makes petty remarks such as, "I can easily do that!".
However, this is because these people have not experienced these hardships themselves.
They have to live harder and worse life than other people.
They are discriminated even though it's not their fault and choice.
