OH, NO!! Your shoes is NOT allowed >_<

American Cultures.......
There is one thing I still don't really understood.
It is unsanitary to keep shoes on inside the home.
I was shocked to see one of my American friends enter her bedroom without removing her shose after tending the garden.
Think of the dirt and germs her shose might have carried into her bedroom!
She vaccum her rooms often, but it still unthinkable for me to wear shoes indoor.
Korean often wear slippers indoor, but never our outdoor shoes.
A few weeks ago, my sister ordered a pizza by telephone. After that, Delivery man entered into my house with his unclean shoes.
OOOOH! NOOOO! I was busy for clearing away the night soil and laid pizza aside.
Because he trode dog dung on my front yard before entering my house. >_<

Have you ever been curious to know...........?

Have you ever been curious to know how happening was occurred to someone's first experience about MIRROR?

I had ever been curious to know it, so I found a folktale of mirror.

After that, every time I watch a mirror it flash on my mind. *^^*

Of course, this is my country tale, so I have to translate Korean sentences into English.

I hope that my sincere classmates enjoy this funny story :-) smilely!

One day, a farmer had a chance to go to the capital.
His wife was thinking about what to ask husband to get for her.
Finally, she said that she want a fine comb, but he didn't know how the comb looks like.
At that time, fortunately, a half-moon was on the sky, so his wife pointed at the half-moon, and then she told him that the comb looks like that.
She said "You can find it at cosmetic shop, or buy it at jewelry store."
He finally understood it and departed to the capital that have many various stores
Since he arrived at the capital, several days have past because of his works.
He just realized that his wife asked him to get something, but he couldn't remember what it was.
However, he just remembered that it looks like a moon, so he looked up the moon which was a full moon.
Anyway, he bought a round something for her, and gave it to her.
At last, uncommon something-there was a strange woman in it-
actually occurred to her whenever she look at the gift which she eager to get,
so she showed it to her husband's mother.
When her mother-in-law looked at it, there was a strange old woman in it,
so they had a violent dispute whether a strange woman was young or not.
The gift threw them into confusion
What on earth did he brought? .......... It was a MIRROR!

He just bought the mirror!

His wife just misunderstood that her husband brought a strange woman!

His mother just didn't never know her wrinkled face!

All my classmates, Have a weekend!!!

My regrettable event (_ _) =_=

The most regrettable event, which I had in the past, is that I did not respect my parents at all.
Of course, I am still not respectful to my parents and making their heart break.
To illustrate my experience happened when I was an elemetary school student,
they had been so busy that they could not care what I was doing.
Our family was in the situation in which we were not accustomed to the ways nearby our house because we just moved into a new house.
I did not go back to my home until 6 p.m., playing with children in the village .
Actually I was playing without knowing that my parents were trying to find me, setting apart their work.
When I returned to my home, I saw my mother was shedding tears for the first time in my life.
I was so shocked when I saw that. And I realized that they love me although they have scolded on me every day.
Therefore, I still do not listen well my parents' words, I will practice to respect them, not just mentioning that I respect them.

My personality

My personality closer to my mom and dad. Children usually have the qualities of their parents. In my case, It is not the more. My parents are attractive and humorous, so my sisters and brother were brought up in comfortable circumstances under the protection of our parents. My parents exercised great influence on me, therefore it is all natural that my personality is closer to my parents' one.

My Name........My Family.....

Korean people put our family name first and use the fixed name. From my family and my generation, "YOUNG" is fixed name. My sibling's names are "YOUNG-SUK", "YOUNG-HEE". As you know, My name is "YOUNG-A". My family name is "KANG". This letter-KANG- means healthy and comfortable life, so my family precept is "Be Healthy". Healthy life is very important to me and my family so that there are many our healthy rules: getting up early, to exercise regullary, avoiding too salty and spicy food, and going to bed early.

As our concerning about health, we occasionally had excercises together such as walking, jogging, badminton, and tennis. Our the most favorite excercise is playing tennis. My husband also a good sportman. He was particpated in the Ironman Triathlon regullary. He is really working pretty hard but also trains his body through exercise of each other every day. He want to participate in the Triathlon with me, but it is overdoing to me yet. Anyway, Do you like any exercising? I hope that you are going to do something for your healthy life!!!

About learning style

I think that it's important to know about learning styles. First the person has to know self styles. What style is good for me? What do I like? After that I have to look for the other styles and try them. For me I like to work or to learn by myself, but I think that is not enough. Working with a group help too and sometimes it is much better. I think that the person has to know about all the styles and try to practice them because the person will need them. Learning by listening is good but you have to read and learn by reading too. If you have just one way to learn, like working in a group, sometimes this group can't give anything because they want to learn from you. In this case you have to practice another style.

About test

Since the age of eight I have had to take tests every semester and every end of year. So I can say that taking exams has become habitual for me. That doesn't mean I'm afraid, but my reaction differs from exam to exam. In my opinion, being afraid of the test means that you care about it and you want to pass it. And this worry and fear will be just in the beginning. After you start the test, you forget everything, and you concentrate on what you are doing. My experience taught me if I don't want to be afraid in the exam or test, first I have to review my lessons, do all my homework before taking a test, and start with what I know. Finally I try to focus on my test so I don't waste my time. This is good advice for other students.

I slept badly one night!

I slept badly one night last week.
I kept waking up. I wasn't sure why, but I felt anxious and worried.
Finally, I got out of bed and crept slowly to the livingroom.
I checked the back door: it was locked. Nothing to worry about there.
I checked the front door: it was locked.
I left the house and made my way to the garage.
Something was still worrying me. The garage was locked, and my car was safe outside. Nothing to worry about there.
I went back to the house. at the front door,
I suddenly realized I had gone out without my keys.
The house was locked up tight.
Then I understood why I had felt so anxious.
At that time, I had something real to worry about!
OUUUUUU MAAAAAAI GOOOOOOOOOD !!!!

Funny sentence!

Not regulary, only when I have free time, I have interest in reading.
I like any kind of reading, such as books, web sites, newspaper, leaflets, and so on.

During web searching, I found next sentence.
Of course it is korean sentences, I am not good translator.
However, if you read my translation and then wear smile on your face, I am sure that my translation is not good.

계란(시련)은 자기 스스로 깨면 병아리가 되지만 다른 사람이 깨면 프라이가 된다.
If eggs are hatched oneself, the chicks are out.
However, if someone breaks eggs, it will be flied eggs.
A suffering is the same as this.
If you stand trials, you will be good person in your life.
Of course, you are not omlets any longer.
